This course will focus on understanding when a fire alarm system replacement should be considered and best practices for performing an upgrade. Common repair situations that lead to a system upgrade will be discussed including what information is needed to make an informed decision. A review of applicable codes and documentation requirements for replacing a fire alarm system will be covered along with design considerations such as wiring, proprietary equipment and monitoring communication methods.
