NFPA 25 2023 Edition Update - 1hr - Recorded Webinar Course Details Instructor CEUs/Additional Info Format: Instant Access Recorded Webinar CEUs: Based on 1 contact hour of training (see CEUs tab for details) Course Description: This course begins with a review of the scope and purpose of NFPA 25, Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems. The presenter will review the major revisions made to the standard for the 2023 edition including the latest information regarding updated definitions, remote inspection and testing of systems, testing of sprinklers, and the use of nitrogen in dry and preaction systems. Special emphasis is placed on the new guidance for classifying conditions found while conducting inspections, tests, and maintenance. Learning Objectives: • Explain the scope and purpose of NFPA 25 • Locate and identify major revisions to the 2023 edition of the standard • Define deficiencies and impairments • Effectively use the guidance found Table A.3.3.8 for classifying conditions found while conducting ITM activities Russ Leavitt, SET, CFPS Russ Leavitt is the Executive Chair of Telgian Holdings. With over 42 years of experience, he holds a Level IV certification from NICET in Fire Sprinkler Layout and Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) designation. He is chair of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Board of Directors. He is the former chair of the NFPA 13 Sprinkler System Discharge Criteria technical committee and continues to serve on the committee along with the NFPA 13 Installation committee as well as the NFPA 3, NFPA 4 909, and 914 technical committees. Russ conducts seminars internationally on a variety of fire and life safety related subjects and has authored a number of articles and training materials.
