Introduction to High Pile Storage Requirements - Recorded Webinar Course Details Instructor CEUs/Additional Info Format: Instant Access Recorded Webinar CEUs: Based on 1 contact hour of training (see CEUs tab for details) Course Description: With the creation of enhanced storage methods comes the need to increase fire protection for occupancies with high piled storage. This course is an overview of the hazards associated with high-piled combustible storage. It will familiarize attendees with the International Fire Code (IFC) requirements and specifically some of the provisions of Chapter 32. Commodity classification, aisle requirements, access doors and other features will be reviewed. Participants will gain an understanding of the basic high pile storage requirements as well as what factors make these requirements applicable. Bless, Jr., P.E., CFPS, SET Ralph has 40 years’ experience in fire protection including a broad range of water based and special hazard system design, code consulting and fire protection engineering services. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer in six states, a Certified Fire Protection Specialist, Level IV NICET senior fire sprinkler layout technician and holds three additional NICET certifications, as well as ten state licenses. Ralph serves on six NFPA committees including the NFPA 1 Fire Code, NFPA 15 covering Water Spray Systems, and NFPA 915 covering remote inspections. He chairs the technical committee for NFPA 232 covering Record Storage and serves on the NFPA 13 Installation Technical Committee and Correlating Committee.
